Singapore Israel Industrial Research and Development Programme

Singaporean companies keen to embark on joint industrial R&D collaboration with Israeli companies can receive matchmaking and funding support through the SIIRD programme.
Benefits

There are 3 types of project grants available for application:

 

Full Scale R&D & Commercialization Project Grant

  • Funding between US$200,000 and US$1M OR 40% to 50% of the total qualified project cost, whichever is lower;
  • Funding of up to US$30,000 for commercialization activities

 

Mini R&D & Commercialization Project Grant

  • Funding of up to US$200,000 OR 50% of the total qualified project cost, whichever is lower;
  • Funding of up to US$30,000 for commercialization activities

 

Feasibility Study Project Grant
  • Funding of up to US$30,000 OR 50% of the total qualified project cost, whichever is lower
Eligibility

You are:

  • Registered or incorporated in Singapore

 

You need to:

  • Jointly submit the application with an Israeli-registered company;
  • Not have more than 20% shareholding in the partnering company;
  • Undertake the joint project in Singapore and Israel with at least 30% of the actual R&D work done in Singapore and Israel respectively
Critical information

The R&D project's technology and/or product must have potential for commercialization.

  • Project duration not more than 2 years

 

Mini R&D & Commercialization Project Grant

  • For project cost above US$400,000 with commercializable product or technology;
  • Project duration not more than 1 year

 

Feasibility Study Project Grant

  • For investigation project to determine the technical feasibility and market acceptibility of a new product or process concept
What to expect when applying

Interested parties can contact SIIRD to locate suitable R&D partner companies using the Partner Search Request Form.

 

Partner companies are then advised to contact the SIIRD Managers in their respective countries to further their application.

 

Applications are open until 17 August 2020.
