Silver Infocomm Curriculum

IMDA developed a set of customised curriculum to increase infocomm literacy among seniors. There are two tracks, iBEGIN and iLIVE, for seniors to learn basic infocomm and digital lifestyle skills respectively.

Besides setting up infocomm access facilities & offering training, IMDA also developed a set of customised curriculum to increase infocomm literacy among seniors. There are two tracks, iBEGIN and iLIVE, for seniors to learn basic infocomm and digital lifestyle skills respectively.

iBEGIN modules train them on basic ICT skills such as how to use a computer, surf the Internet, create an email, send instant messages, make video calls, as well as learn how to protect themselves online. The iLIVE track allows serniors to upgrade their IT skills and move up to the intermediate level, such as learn how to make an online transaction, booking of air tickets and using Governement e-services.

The senior-friendly courseware covers a variety of over 20 topics with step-by-step guidance and is available in both English and Chinese languages.
