About Us

The Digital Maker Programme aims to nurture a new generation of digital natives with a passion to create with technology. Our goal is to grow a community of digital creators who are passionate in embracing a culture of innovation and co-creation to solve real-world problems using technology.

We introduce a simple-to-use and open-ended technology called the “micro:bit”, a pocket-sized codable device, to inspire the community to explore the possibilities of digital making.

Introducing digital making to schools

We reach out to schools and provide all interested primary and secondary schools with micro:bits for their students. Together with our partner Microsoft, we equip school teachers with basic skills of digital making using the micro:bit. Additionally, teachers receive recommended lesson ideas that integrate the use of the micro:bit as a learning tool in the classroom.

Building communities of digital makers

Aside from reaching out to schools, we partner with agencies such as National Library Board, People’s Association, Science Centre Singapore and Centre for Fathering to hold  introductory workshops and events at community locations for members of the public to learn how to use the micro:bit to create simple projects. They can then share their completed projects on our website. Check out the various projects thus far!
