Funding Support

To encourage employers to take on mid-career switchers without the requisite experience or skills, funding support will be provided as follows:

 

Funding rate for Place-and-Train CCPs

 

Standard Rate

(SCs/PRs below age of 40)

Enhanced Rate

Salary Support

Up to 70% of Monthly Salary for CCP training duration

(capped at $4,000 per month)

Up to 90% of Monthly Salary for CCP training duration

(capped at $6,000 per month)

 

For Long-term Unemployed1 Singapore Citizens (SC) trainees or Mature SC trainees2

Course Fee Subsidy

Up to 70% Course Fees*

Up to 90% Course Fees3*

 

For SC/Permanent Resident (PR) trainees sponsored by SMEs or Mature SC trainees2

In-house training: Up to $15 per hour

1Long-term Unemployed (LTU) is defined as being unemployed and actively seeking employment for six months or more.

2Mature trainee is defined as being aged 40 and above.

3This includes a 20% course fee subsidy top-up from SSG’s SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy for mature SCs, or a 20% course fee subsidy top-up from SSG’s Enhanced Training Support for SMEs for SME sponsored SC/PR employees, if applicable

#Based on jobs the trainee is being prepared for, to be determined by WSG for each Attach-and-Train CCP

Eligibility

You are:

  • A company registered or incorporated in Singapore.

 

You need to:

  • Commit to the CCP training arrangements for the mid-career individuals selected and to work with WSG or its appointed partners on the necessary administrative matters related to the programmes;
  • Engage the mid-career individuals through the following*:
  1. Place-and-Train:
  2. • Mid-career individuals are hired by a participating employer before undergoing training to take on new job role.

    • Must be able to offer full-time employment directly related to the jobs which the CCP is for, with remuneration that commensurates with the market rate.

  3. Attach-and-Train: 

    • Mid-career individuals are provided with training and work attachments, in advance of job placement, through industry partners in growth sectors with good future job opportunities.

    • Must be able to offer full-time attachment positions directly related to identified Attached-and-Train CCP job occupations.

Critical information

Mid-Career Individuals Eligibility:

  • Singapore Citizen (SC) or Permanent Resident (PR);
  • Minimum 21 years old; 
  • Graduated or completed National Service (if applicable), whichever is later, for at least two years; 
  • New job role trained for under the CCP should be substantially different from previous job role(s), hence requiring reskilling for career conversion;
  • Able to commit to full-time employment or attachment in a participating company.
