Boi Kwong Alt

Boi Kwong is an experienced Singaporean film producer/director with more than 15 years of film production in his career.

Boi’s journey in film began upon graduating in Visual Communications major in Photography, Video and Audio Visual from Temasek Polytechnic in 1999, an outstanding student and AVID scholarship award recipient. He pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications (Film & Television major) from the Curtin University of Technology, Australia.

In 2000, Boi received the Special Jury Prize award in the Singapore Film Festival’s Silver Screen Awards for his debut short film Wait.

In 2007, he worked as an assistant director of independent film Becoming Royston which ignited Boi’s passion in full-length filmmaking. In 2008, Boi’s directorial feature debut The Days, which is inspired by his own life, was nominated in various international film festivals including Shanghai International Film Festival’s New Asian Talent Award, CPH:PIX Copenhagen International Film Festival’s Asian Tigers and Singapore International Film Festival’s Best Cinematography.

His dedication to all aspects of filmmaking continued when he joined mm2 entertainment as a producer. With mm2, Boi has produced a variety of films including Lucky Boy, Wonder Boy, The Big Day, Zombiepura, Long Long Time Ago: The Diam Diam Era and Number 1.
