Jasmine Ng got her start in film when she received the first S'pore EDB government scholarship to study filmmaking at NYU-Tisch in New York City. As a director and executive producer, she has applied her film sensibilities to creating & directing visually-innovative programmes. As a television commercials director, she has helmed spots for clients such as Pepsi, Sony and Nokia. Jasmine has, throughout her film & TV career, devoted time to socially-engaged film projects to raise awareness and help fundraise for non-profit organisations. Pink Paddlers, an independent feature documentary that she directed about a motley crew of dragonboat racers who are breast cancer survivors, received support with a grant by the Khoo Teck Puat Foundation, and raised funds for Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore, Unifem, SCWO Star Shelter in Singapore alone. Jasmine also contributes back to community through film workshops and mentorship programmes, and has served on various judging panels for grants & scholarships, as well as serving on boards of directors.
