Eric Khoo placed Singapore on the global film map with his first two films, Mee Pok Man (1995) and 12 Storeys (1997). Together, both films have been screened at over 60 film festivals and won numerous awards. His third feature which he directed, Be With Me (2005), opened Cannes Directors’ Fortnight in 2005. His fourth feature film My Magic (2008) was nominated for the Palme D’Or in Cannes’ official selection. Over the years, Eric has headed several international film juries, including the Locarno, Rotterdam, the Asian Film Awards and Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. His company Zhao Wei Films has produced several critically acclaimed features including 15 (2003), Apprentice (2016) and most recently Ramen Teh (2018), which premiered at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival.
