Ang Hwee Sim is a film producer, arts manager and occasional publicist. She has over 10 years of business & industry development, as well as marketing communications experience in the arts, media and entertainment-related industries.

From 2002 to 2006, in her role as Assistant Director of Singapore Film Commission, she was instrumental in developing and pushing for programmes to grow a vibrant local film industry in Singapore. She subsequently worked with various film and arts companies, including MediaCorp Raintree Pictures, Drama Box, NUS Centre for the Arts and T.H.E Dance Company. She was festival publicist for the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) in 2009 for its 22nd edition which achieved record attendance figures, and served as General Manager until 2019. In her many years of working in the industry, she has also produced several film and performing arts projects. Her producing credits for film include Ilo Ilo (Camera d’Or Award, Cannes Film Festival 2013 and Best Feature Film, Golden Horse Awards 2013), The Leap Years (2008), Sing to the Dawn (2008) and 881 (2007). She is currently freelance producing.
