With more than $180,000 worth of prizes to be won, join Samsung Solve for Tomorrow to be part of something big and start making a difference today.

Back for its third edition this year, the Solve for Tomorrow competition encourages students to ideate and leverage technology to address social issues in the local community. The younger generation are the changemakers of Singapore’s future, and Samsung hopes to provide young people with the opportunity to contribute to society and at the same time, benefit from essential skills such as critical thinking which they will pick up in the process.

Proposed idea for the competition should be centred around the following themes:
  • Active Ageing: Develop solutions to help the elderly to lead active and dignified lives in their silver years
  • Healthcare: Create solutions to encourage Singaporeans to lead healthy lifestyles
  • Social Integration: Propose solutions to foster a caring, gracious and inclusive society
  • Environment: Come up with solutions to address environmental issues that affect the world we live in

Who can participate?

Students can participate in the Secondary School category or Pre-University/ Polytechnic/ Institute of Technical Education category. Form a team of two students and a teacher from your school to act as an advisor for the team.

Judging Criteria

Entry should consist of a short description (not more than 1,500 characters), supporting document that articulates the social issue confronting Singapore’s future and your proposed solution leveraging on technology.
