Overview

The Iasa Infrastructure Architecture training outfits IT professionals with a mastery of networks, computing platforms and operations with which to steer the organisation toward valuable investments in hardware and platform.

After this course you will be attuned to the strategic uses of technology hardware, physical systems, networks and IT operations as an asset, and on top of that, be able to create and deliver technology strategies to optimise this asset. In addition to being able to meet requirements while balancing quality attributes and costs, you will also be trained in the processes of peer review and design validation. In project teams you shall assume the critical role of technology platform leader for both application design and development.

Learning Outcome

Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to:
  • Participate in and recommend technology prioritization through the project implementation process
  • Address infrastructure reusability and services in addition to communicating infrastructure concepts to all levels of management
  • Apply infrastructure quality attribute techniques to support enterprise business applications on a robust platform
  • Design networks and network components, configuration and management requirements for both solutions and existing infrastructure
  • Build out a physical or virtual server
  • Design the physical data centre and remote access facilities of an organization
  • Reduce expenditures related to power and cooling
  • Understand the infrastructure required to support effective disaster recovery and backup/restore processes
  • Understand the parameters, constraints, and design requirements for capacity within the environment including storage, network and operations capacity
  • Know the common application services offered within the infrastructure and be able to convey this understanding to another architect
