Overview Course

This course covers the application of traditional sculpting techniques in a digital environment. Students will learn human anatomy, figure sculpting, and the technology required to produce digital human models with emphasis on gesture, form and proportions using industry standard software. Students were produce CG Human digital figure that can be used or customizing games, machinima, animations, portfolios consistent with industry standards and strategies. Emerging organic modelling workflows and their application in-contemporary production pipelines will be utilized.

Learning Outcome

  • Demonstrate ability to use industry standard software in sculpting of characters
  • To improve students’ personal perception of human anatomy, form, contours, gesture, and rhythm for human sculpture
  • Students will learn the ability to apply complex software packages used in industry for sculpting human figures. Enhance perception regarding concepts of 3D modelling
  • Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy in the construction of 3D character models
