AI Business Partnership Programme (AIBPP)

To encourage and facilitate AI adoption among businesses in Singapore, IMDA is implementing an AI Business Partnership Programme (AIBPP), a guided process to pair local companies with potential problem statements (“AI end user companies”) with AI solutions providers and support such partnerships to develop and deploy prototypes/solutions suitable for their business needs. Through the AIBPP, IMDA aims to increase awareness about the potential value of AI and the opportunities it holds for businesses, and catalyse adoption of AI solutions by local companies. These local companies could eventually serve as beacons for their respective industries as early adopters of AI to power their businesses

AIBPP includes:

  • Partnerships between user companies and AI solutions providers
    • Successful matching of AI tech users and AI creators based on problem statements
    • Commitment to undergo AI adoption process and solutions development (e.g., mentorship/consultancy for AI transformation, customisation and deployment of AI solution etc.)
  • Defray adoption risks for AI user companies
    • Adoption of AI technologies by local companies translating into successful deployment of AI solutions, which successfully helps end user companies’ address problem statements that resulted in improved business outcomes

Complimentary AI workshops- “How to Use AI to Grow Your Business”

IMDA is also organising quarterly complimentary AI workshops, “How to Use AI to Grow Your Business” for companies who wish to find out more about the potential and opportunities of AI.

AI refers to a set of technologies that seek to simulate human traits such as knowledge, reasoning, problem solving, perception, learning, and planning. AI has advanced rapidly in recent years, driven by the proliferation of data, rapid increase in computational power, and rising cloud adoption, among other factors. With its rapid advancement, AI can be a positive force for transformation and growth for companies.

However, many enterprises have shared their challenges in understanding of how much value-add AI solutions can bring to the table, leading to resulting low rates of adoption.

To remain internationally relevant and competitive, Singapore needs to accelerate its pace in AI adoption and creation. The window of opportunity is still open for Singapore, and it is critical for us to leverage on the opportunities of AI and rapidly transform our businesses.
