Use Case 1: Tailings Dam Monitoring – Australia
Ackcio Beam was used to acquire and transmit data from sensors monitoring a tailings dam for a gold processing facility in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
For this tailings dam, our client installed piezometers to monitor pore water pressure. Monitoring of these piezometers would be costly and impractical with traditional cable-based or manual monitoring systems due to the remote location and vast area. Our client opted to use Ackcio Beam. Ackcio Vibrating Wire 1-Sensor Nodes were deployed to transmit readings from the Piezometers to Ackcio Gateway every 30 minutes.
In-place inclinometers will be installed to monitor embankment deformation of the dam. Ackcio Digital Nodes will be deployed to monitor these inclinometers. Ackcio Beam’s highly scalable system allows these new Nodes to transmit data to the same Gateway.
By using Ackcio Beam, our client obtained regular real-time readings from a robust and reliable wireless monitoring system. This led to their increased awareness of the dam’s stability and alleviated the high labour costs of manual or semi-automated monitoring for a large geographical area.
The flexibility and scalability of the system made it easy to expand the monitoring network by adding nodes for MEMS, in-place inclinometer sensor chains, seamlessly integrating into the existing Ackcio system.
Use Case 2: Xinzhuang Depot - Taiwan
Taipei Metro recently began construction on Xinzhuang Depot in the Xinzhuang MRT Station. The construction site lies within a zone where soil integrity is highly unstable. To address this issue, our client was appointed to monitor the ground and structure for abnormalities and discern site displacements and tilts, by using MEMS tiltmeters and LVDT sensors.
Monitoring these sensors is essential, but both cable-based and manual monitoring systems were deemed unfeasible. The former came with the risk of cable damage posed by the tunnel that would result in high maintenance costs, and the latter would lead to significant time consumption, high probability of inaccurate readings, access difficulty, and considerable risk to worker safety.
Our client opted to use Ackcio Beam for wireless monitoring. Ackcio Analogue 4-Sensor Nodes were deployed in the train tunnel to transmit tilt and LVDT sensor data to a single Gateway mounted above ground. Due to the low signal range within the tunnel, Relay Nodes were installed to ensure reliable data transmission from Analogue Nodes to the Gateway.
Our automated wireless monitoring system uploaded accurate and reliable data in real time to our client’s server at less than half the cost of a cable-based or manual monitoring solution.
Clariant’s Smart Factory program using Arcstone’s MES toolsets kick started in Singapore with subsequent plans to roll out to more than 50 sites globally. Everything from receipt of customer’s purchase orders to the final shipment of the corresponding products to the customer is controlled through Arcstone’s system. This includes SAP integration, shop floor link up with user-friendly tablets and integration directly to production equipment and PLCs, RFIDs and full Smart Scheduling Optimization. This includes capabilities to dynamically schedule all tasks, equipment and manpower to synchronize and optimize end-to-end workflow starting from a single site to later multiple sites across geographies. The focus is to allow Clariant to fully quantify and decide on specific trade-offs between service, cost and working capital on a continuous basis. Arcstone helped Clariant on its enterprise wide integration through arc.link and coordinates direct machine integration through arc.quire. A full suite of modules managing weighing of materials to synchronizing complex schedules is done through Arcstone’s Next Generation MES, arc.ops to help drive visibility, control and optimization throughout the factory and the enterprise.
Use Case 2: Lumileds
With 1000+ machines in Singapore alone requiring specific and detailed care, Lumileds embarked on a Smart Factory Transformation in its plants both in Singapore and Penang. The focus was on digitalizing its traditional paper-based processes and making information accessible via any device. In addition, Lumileds wanted to focus on preventative care and maintaining efficiency. This was needed for maintenance, calibration and full digital record keeping for all equipment. Lumileds turned to Arcstone’s toolsets to carry out their Smart Factory Transformation. Arcstone’s arc.ops toolsets helped turn all of Lumileds’ paper-based maintenance operations into a digital workstation available on tablets direct for operators to use on the shop floor. Integration to their existing systems and to the equipment through arc.quire allowed for real-time status of machines to be updated. Dataflow and traceability for all maintenance and calibration processes across the equipment was visible for management and supervisors to see at anytime. With this, indirect workloads were reduced by 14%, maintenance transaction time was decreased by 25 minute per machine and report creation reduced by 4 hours/day. In total, 30% of workforce time was saved.
Use Case 1: Ransomware Caught In Healthcare
This type of attacks can do a great deal of damage very quickly. It attack the victim’s system, encrypting or compromising files on the host, and accessible file shares, then spreads to other hosts. Attivo Networks – Deception solution is proven to derail ransomware attacks by luring the malware out from their hiding. This is accomplished using decoy systems, including network file shares, and the placement of deceptive assets on the endpoints, including deceptive credentials and fake file shares. As these attacks will typically attack both local and network files, they will also engage assets stored on the BOTsink server. Once that happened, any activities will immediately trigger an alert while keeping the attacker engaged within the deception environment. This will serve as early warning alerts and provides the incident response team time to react.
Use Case 2: Active Directory (AD) Attacks in Financial Institution
By design, Active Directory (AD) will readily exchange information with any member system it manages. This is exploited by attackers to extract information on the entire domain easily. Security teams may not realize that attacks on AD are occurring because such activities will appear as if AD is providing the data to a member system.
Knowing this challenge, the Attivo Networks – ADSecure module provides a new approach to preventing cyber criminals from successfully reaching and compromising AD. It uses deception technology to accurately detect and derail the lateral movement of attacks. Once deployed, the ADSecure will respond to malicious queries attempting to harvest AD data. The solution counter the AD attack by replying with deceptive data, hiding the privileged credentials, and altering real credentials values. With ADSecure, organizations can efficiently intercept advanced attacks (APTs) and remediate accurately.
Use Case 1: EngageRocket x EZ-Link
How EZ-Link adopted continuous listening to build a unified company culture and retain talent In their quest to build better employee experiences, EZ-Link’s HR team partnered with EngageRocket in 2019 to strengthen the foundation of their HR strategy by implementing a continuous listening program. Instead of relying on unsubstantiated gut-feel, EZ-Link decided to embark on a data-driven approach.
EZ-Link launched its first employee engagement and Peer Feedback in 2019. Use Case 2: EngageRocket x EM Services
How EM Services attracts and retains talents thanks to real-time people analytics
EM Services has established a strong track record in the management of townships and properties across Singapore. Currently, the company manages ten of Singapore’s sixteen townships which covers approximately 700,000 HDB residential units and 9,000 retail and shop units.

Use Case 1: Infiniti Marine Pte Ltd
Haulio has been supporting Infiniti Marine Pte Ltd as their fleet and driver management tool. With the primary goal of increasing efficiency, Infiniti Marine finds that Haulio’s HCS helps them to accomplish that through features like the electronic Proof-of-Delivery (ePOD), which allows drivers to take photos during job completion for submission. The Trip Forms feature also helps them to reduce manual work as the drivers’ completed jobs and history are all accessible via the cloud-based system, allowing them to easily verify and tally for their drivers’ salary remuneration.
Haulio’s HCS is also open for integration with their transport and freight management systems. “We have used other solutions before, but Haulio’s team is closer to the ground and are very responsive to all our feedback. Although there may be hiccups along the way, as compared to their competitors, I feel that Haulio’s team is more proficient to resolve any issues due to their dedication and local know-how,” says Mr Terence Wong, Director of Infiniti Marine Pte Ltd.
Use Case 2: Azon Transport Pte Ltd
Azon Transport Pte Ltd has been utilizing the Haulio Connectivity System (HCS) to manage their fleet and drivers. As the transportation arm of Azon Shipping Pte Ltd, Azon Transport provides project cargo trucking with their fleet of four trucks and drivers. Compared to the other available solutions in the market today, Haulio’s HCS is a cloud-based and digital platform, and does not require users to a purchase separate devices for each of their drivers or to make a big down payment.
Although the industry is complex and very dependent on paper documentation, the HCS helps to simplify Azon Transport’s operations through features like Trip Forms, where the controller can monitor their drivers and record completed trips for easy tallying or information retrieval anytime. Azon Transport went with Haulio’s HCS in the end as it was the most value-for-money and easy to use, with dedicated and prompt support from the Haulio team.
Use Case 1: How China Construction Uses Virtual Reality in Coordination Meetings
We spoke to CCDC’s Head of Corporate VDC/BIM, Rob Sanchez, to understand their transition into BIM & VDC, and how they utilise virtual reality and VRcollab in their processes. According to Mr. Sanchez, VRcollab has helped ease the coordination meetings as compared to traditional BIM software like Revit.
“A couple of months ago, I visited the KL (Kuala Lumpur) office in Malaysia and sat in for one of their technical meetings. They were trying to navigate around Revit to showcase their design,” Sanchez shared his experience with us, “and they struggled in trying to cut the section and showing issues to clients.” He then spent 5 minutes downloading and installing VRcollab. Using VRcollab, he was able to upload the exact Revit model for a seamless design review meeting. Mr. Sanchez noted it was much easier to navigate in VRcollab and “section cut” the model to resolve the design issues. They have not officially calculated the time differences faced when using VRcollab versus when they use the traditional methods. However, he speculated based on current progress that it could cut down time spend on coordination by 50%.

Use Case 2: Boustead Projects’ Digital Transformation in Engineering
We did a case study with Boustead Projects’ on their productivity increase, workflow improvement and business continuity during Covid-19. We spoke with their lead driver for organisation & corporate level BIM Implementation in Singapore, Khalil Shaiful. The virtual design of the building gives Boustead Projects an edge over its competitor. According to Boustead Projects, using VRcollab for their virtual design review has seen a reduction in time taken to get the design approved as opposed to the traditional way of drawing submission.
“We use VRcollab on a regular basis,” Khalil highlighted, “for example, VRcollab is often utilised during our design meeting where the designers are engaged to use VR to get their understanding and approval.” Early this year, the pandemic hit and caused major issues in business continuity for all companies around the world. In Singapore, we see everyone either working from home or stopping business operations entirely. Boustead Projects’ was able to continue their VDC work while reducing social interaction via VRcollab. VRcollab’s multi-user feature allows users to host coordination meetings from anywhere around the world as long as they have Internet access.

Republic Polytechnic (RP) selected X0PA AI to enhance the placement process for RP’s internship programme.
Republic Polytechnic faced the challenge of trying to match students to companies, taking into consideration students’ capabilities and preferences while fulfilling the companies’ requirements. With its proprietary two-way matching algorithm, X0PA has played an important role in facilitating/automating the matching and placement process for internships. X0PA’s software system is able to include the interests and preferences of students, ensuring that students find the best suited internships while employers get the best talents for their internships.
The X0PA’s software system digitizes each step of the hiring process from job postings, video interviewing, video scheduling, email automation, right up to the stage of digital management of internships making the process efficient and seamless for both the student candidates and employers, as well as for Republic Polytechnic in managing the placement process.
RP has been working with X0PA since January 2020. X0PA’s software system facilitated the registration of 200 companies. Over a 3-month period, 4000 applications were processed by the system. Eventually, all 450 students (due for internship) were successfully placed with the companies.
