About The Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme Plus (CITREP+)

The Critical Infocomm Technology Resource Programme Plus (CITREP+) is a programme under IMDA's TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative to support the continuous upskilling and reskilling of the ICT workforce through short-form courses and/or certification fee support.

Through CITREP+, individuals can build specialised in-demand ICT skills to boost employability and stay relevant. Courses and professional certifications, including cyber security courses and IT courses in Singapore can help professionals upskill themselves. There are also opportunities to pursue the 5G programme in Singapore, an emerging area that is rapidly gaining traction and becoming increasingly important in the ICT industry.

CITREP+ provides support for companies to keep pace with technology shifts through continuous and proactive training for employees.

Claim procedure

For enrolment on or before 31 October 2022

Trainees who wish to claim for CITREP+ funding must submit their online claim applications to IMDA via ICMS upon course or certification completion. Please refer to the Claim Application Guide (595.16KB) for detailed application procedures.

For Organisation-Sponsored Trainees, the claim application will be submitted by the sponsoring organisation.

For Self-Sponsored Trainees, the claim application has to be completed by the individual.

All claims for CITREP+ disbursement must be submitted to IMDA within three (3) months from completion date of the last examination or final post-training assessment, or by 31 Mar 2023, whichever is earlier. Late submissions will not be accepted. Applications with incomplete documents will be rejected for processing.

 

For enrolment on or after 1 November 2022

Claim procedure will be done by Course Providers. Eligible trainees will pay Course Providers the unsubsidised portion of the course/certification fee.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for funding support under CITREP+, all trainees must be enrolled by the endorsed course provider or testing centre for the intended course or certification in IMDA’s Infocomm Competency Management System (ICMS) (for enrolment on or before 31 Oct 2022) or Training Partners Gateway (TP Gateway) (for enrolment on or after 1 Nov 2022) before the commencement of the training course or certification.

 

Organisation-sponsored trainee

  • Must be a Singaporean citizen or PR at the point of course / certification examination commencement 
  • Meet the admission criteria set by the Course Provider or Certificate Awarding Body
  • Commence the training courses or certification examination between 1 July 2022 and 31 March 2023 (or otherwise stipulated by IMDA)
  • The sponsoring organisation must be incorporated or registered in Singapore. Employees of Local Government Agencies are not eligible.
  • Employees of these organisations can, however, qualify for CITREP under the self-sponsored category
  • For enrolment on or before 31 October 2022, sponsoring organisations claiming up to 90% funding support must meet the SME eligibility criteria1 and will have to complete and submit Form 2 to endorsed Course Provider.

 

Self-sponsored trainee

  • Must be a Singaporean citizen or PR at the point of course / certification examination commencement (refer to funding support table (128.36KB) for more details)
  • Meet the admission criteria set by the Course Provider or Certificate Awarding Body
  • Commence the training courses or certification examination between 1 July 2022 and 31 March 2023 (or otherwise stipulated by IMDA)

Note:
1SMEs are defined as companies having:

  • Minimum 30% local shareholding AND
  • Company Group annual sales turnover not more than $100 million OR
  • Company Group employment size not more than 200 workers

Group tracing includes all corporate shareholder(s) holding more than 50% of total shareholding of the company and any subsequent corporate parents and all subsidiaries of the company.

Applicants must upload and attach the supporting documents via ICMS during the submission of online applications.
