Get a sneak peek into #LifeAtIMDA through the lens of current IMDA officers and understand what working in IMDA is really like!
As part of my first rotation as an AIM officer, I spend majority of my time developing marketing campaigns and managing promotional resources for film and TV projects, and the rest focused on enhancing user safety on social media platforms. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to explore ways in which I can maximise my media capabilities in a technology-driven environment. Gaining exposure in these divisions has allowed me to acquire experience in stakeholder engagement, as I work alongside Ministries and international organisations.

I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with skilled practitioners and learn about integrating various subsystems within Singapore’s Telecommunications and Broadcast infrastructure from them. Being able to contribute and play a part in ensuring our nation’s cybersecurity resilience has been very meaningful.

#LifeAtIMDA is never dull. I like that I get to work on interesting projects such as AI Verify, and conduct research into blockchain forensics. Also, I really enjoy the wellness events organised by the IMDA Relac team, such as Thirsty Thursday, that help build up the IMDA community.

As an Associate in Infocomm Media (AIM) officer, I get to work on two different and diverse portfolios. I spend most of my time doing technical work and research, which is what I enjoy and excel at. The other 20% of the time is where I get to challenge myself and expose myself with a different portfolio – where I reach out to tech companies and help to support projects that will benefit the tech ecosystem in Singapore. I have also been able to attend courses such as Introduction to Quantum Computing, to constantly improve and upgrade my technical capabilities.
