Remember Mee Pok Man back in 1995? Well, Eric Khoo whets our tastebuds yet again with his 2015 film, Wanton Mee, which features many of Singapore’s culinary gems such as Tanglin Halt Food Centre, Dempsey Road and East Coast Road.

The film showcases the history of our city’s local food and culture – wet markets, hawker centres and neighbourhoods – all of which makes us uniquely Singaporean.

Wanton Mee first premiered on MediaCorp’s Okto last March and then made an appearance at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain last September. The film has also been invited to the Culinary Cinema of the 66th Berlin International Film Festival, from 14 to 19 February 2016 where Khoo’s Wanton Mee is set to be presented as the main programme and a special menu inspired by the film will follow!

If you’d like to catch the film that will definitely leave you craving for some hearty local delights, head on over to Toggle.
