JAN & FEB 16 ISSUE 32

Safer Internet Day 2016 will be celebrated around the world on 9 February, with the theme “Play your part for a better internet!” In Singapore, the Media Literacy Council (MLC) is launching a nation-wide challenge to highlight the role that all users can play in helping to create a better, and happier internet environment.

To spur public involvement, MLC will release a series of online videos on its “Emoji Face Challenge”, an initiative to rally the public to signal their support for Safer Internet Day. The videos star local social media stars Benjamin Kheng, Pei Shi, Fiza O and Kelvin Ang.

For more information about the campaign, visit www.betterinternet.sg. Follow the Media Literacy Council on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram to find out more.
