Bangalore, India, 1 November 2000 - Watch practical demonstrations by Scientists, witness role-play and live examples, catch a lecture by subject experts at your preferred time. These are some of the activities Singapore ONE users can expect when Zee Interactive Learning Systems Ltd (ZILS) conducts a trial of its educational content on the nation-wide, broadband network.

The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and ZILS, India's only education company to have a 24 hour television channel and a subsidiary of the Zee Group, will work together to offer Singapore ONE users access to 24-hours on-demand, interactive educational content.

Welcoming the participation of ZILS in Singapore's vibrant interactive broadband multimedia (IBBMM) industry, Mr P. Ramakrishna, Director of Industry Development at the IDA said, "We are excited to see regional players coming on board Singapore ONE with their content, applications and services. This re-affirms Singapore's position as a dynamic infocomm hub and promotes the growth of IBBMM in Singapore. We hope to enter into more of such partnerships with other Indian companies keen to ride on the broadband wave."

This is the first time an educational service provider in India is making its content available on broadband. "Our trial on Singapore ONE will leverage off our rich content pool. Moving forward, we explore the possibility of customising the content for the South East Asian market," said Ms Rema Subramanian, General Manager of ZILS.

The learning products that will be available when the trial begins are materials on science, mathematics, human resource management, marketing management, and financial accounting.
