IDA would like to seek views and comments from the industry and members of the public on

  • The current situation and the need for IDA intervention to prevent "islanding";
  • The regulatory principle and technical implementation of a proposed Internet Protocol "No Islanding" Principle;
  • The types of services to which the Internet Protocol "No Islanding" Principle would apply; and
  • Considerations with regard to implementation costs and the proposed timeline.

All views and comments should be submitted in writing and sent to IDA by fax or in soft copy (Microsoft Word Format). Submissions should reach IDA by 12 noon, 31 July 2011.
