With the data protection provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") coming into effect on 2 July 2014, IDA has conducted a review of the End User Service Information ("EUSI") provisions in the Code of Practice for Competition in the Provision of Telecommunication Service (herein known as "TCC"). Given that the PDPA will be the primary legislation governing the collection, use and disclosure of personal data, and will apply to all telecommunication licensees, IDA is proposing amendments to the TCC to minimise the regulatory overlaps and provide clarity to the industry and public. IDA would like to seek the views and comments from the industry and members of the public on the proposed amendments to the TCC.
