We welcome industry-led efforts, such as the establishment of the Mobile Computing Centre, which shares new and exciting knowledge of widely adopted standards such as that of the Palm OS platform."

"We value the support shown by IDA and welcome Temasek Polytechnic to the Palm Economy, a worldwide community of organisations and individuals that develop, and enhance Palm products and services," said Mr. Chng Poh Hwa, regional director, Palm Singapore Sales.

Mr. Jeremy Lee, chief executive officer of Sunderland Technologies Pte Ltd, a company that develops attachment devices for Palm handhelds and enterprise solutions on the Palm OS platform, commented on the initiative: "The Mobile Computing Centre will fuel the growth of the Palm Economy, helping to generate the expertise necessary to meet demand for handheld computing solutions."
