The Challenges & Opportunities for Industry & Society
Dr Kaizad Heerjee, Assistant Chief Executive, Online Development of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore spoke at the Plenary session of the Computer Sociey of India 2000 (CSI2000)1 held in Chennai on 15 September at 9:45 am.

With the revolution of info-communications in the new global economy, it is important that the Industry and Society understand the challenges and opportunities that avail in Asia's changing economic landscape. In his presentation, Dr Heerjee also touches on the importance of a Knowledge-Based Economy (KBE) on businesses and Singapore's approach to compete in the KBE. Information on how Singapore bridges the digital and ethnic divide is also shared in his presentation.
