Singapore's Strong Presence at Asia Television Forum, Asia Animation and Asia Film Market and Conference

Dated: 28 November 2002

Locally-made programmes, animation and films will be highlighted next week when the Singapore Broadcasting Authority (SBA) and several Singapore companies actively participate in the 3rd Asia Television Forum (ATF) 2002, the 2nd Asia Animation (AA) 2002, and the inaugural Asia Film Market and Conference (AFMC). All three events will be held from 2 to 5 December 2002 at the Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort.

ATF is the largest TV programming market in the region, AA is a targeted exhibition which brings together an international market exclusively devoted to animation, while the newly launched AFMC is a platform for Asia's culture and film production to be introduced into the international film arena.

Endorsing its strong support for this premier media event, SBA is the platinum sponsor for all the conference tracks at the ATF, AA and AFMC.

Said Mr Koh Tin Fook, Deputy CEO, SBA, "The ATF, AFMC and Asia Animation will be an excellent market place to cross-promote Asian and Western content and concepts. There is growing business synergy between TV and film, and the AFMC will be an appropriate event to support this through both its market and its conference tracks. With expansion in scope, the film and TV industry players will have better opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and identify synergies in projects and businesses."

To further highlight the various facets of the local industry, SBA will also have its own suite (Suite 856) for Singapore and overseas participants to explore co-productions, know more about Singapore's production and media industry, and discuss industry related matters. · Media Corporation of Singapore

· Raintree Pictures Pte Ltd

· Ochre Pictures Pte Ltd

· Editude Post Production Pte Ltd
