IMDA explores innovative use of technologies to enhance and empower the retail industry to expand their customer base not just domestically but also regionally and globally. Build and adopt the right kind of ICM technologies and expertise that will develop intelligence of the digital customers.

We envision that retailer world will be dramatically reshaped by consumers’ fervent embrace of e-Commerce. They will need to harness the efficient eCommerce and Fulfilment Service Hub Platforms that will help extend reach to international consumers, manage inventory, goods distribution and logistics service support for retailers. These platforms are intended to reduce the complexity of e-Commerce operations and allow retailers with limited ICT capabilities to hop on the e-Commerce bandwagon.

We envision the success of retailers through the use of data analytics to derive consumer insights along with in-store innovations, which will help them understand their customers’ preferences at a deeper, personal level and engage them through targeted marketing and loyalty programmes. They will be able to connect with these consumers intimately and, effectively and in real time.
