Intelligent Sensing Toolbox (IST) is a Python package that focuses on multivariate time series analysis. This toolbox includes multiple open-source machine learning algorithms and statistic calculations.
In data analytics, making sense of massive datasets and multiple data sources requires machine learning to generate insights.
IMDA has successfully completed a proof-of-concept (POC) of IST through its Intelligent Data Centre programme with National Supercomputing Centre Singapore. The POC demonstrated that IST could identify the probable causes of abnormal behaviours of server nodes in the data centre and gain new insights.
There are plans to further augment the toolbox with additional machine learning algorithms in regards to time-series features extractions, supervised learning, unsupervised learning and self-supervised learning techniques.
Who is it for?
Individuals, Technology Providers, Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs) and Research Institutes (RIs) are welcome to use our tools and technologies.

What Our Partners Say
“…it is our pleasure … to have the opportunity to work with a great team from IMDA and the fantastic support throughout…”
Mr. Wong Wai Meng, CEO of Keppel Data Centres on working with IMDA.
“Yearly Total Savings of USD23.3K …is a good estimate of savings. That said, there are “opportunity cost and intangible benefits” we have not quantified here”.
Mr. Han Jok Kwang, CIO of Venture Corporation on the benefits of the IST.
“It demonstrated then that the IST could draw new insights in data centres by identifying the probable cause of abnormal behaviours of server nodes in the data centre.”
Associate Professor Dr. Tan Tin Wee, Chief Executive of NSCC Management on the IST’s capabilities.
Everybody loves inspiring Success Stories. Find out how our tools and technologies have been implemented in the industry here.
