IDA has received requests from the industry to extend the deadline for the submission of comments to the public consultation on "Proposed Framework for the Allocation of Spectrum for International Mobile Telecommunications ("IMT") and IMT-Advanced Services and for the Enhancement of Competition in the Mobile Market". The deadline shall be extended and all responses must be submitted to IDA by 12 noon, 26 August 2015.

IDA has reviewed the industry responses to the first public consultation published on 22 April 2014, and has issued a second public consultation to address the responses received and to consult on additional issues which arose after the first consultation closed. Briefly, the issues include the technical considerations for the allocation of spectrum (e.g., the 700 MHz, 800 MHz and 1.4 GHz bands, etc) and the proposed facilitation framework for new entrants. IDA would like to seek the views and comments of the industry and public on the above-mentioned issues.
