In view of requests from the industry for more time to submit their views and comments, IMDA and AGC have extended the deadline for submission of consultation responses to 12 noon, 24 April 2017. Nevertheless, respondents are encouraged to submit their responses as early as possible, in preparation for the 50th UNCITRAL session scheduled to be held in July 2017.

As part of the joint IMDA-AGC review of the Electronic Transactions Act (Cap. 88) (“ETA”), IMDA and AGC would like to seek the views and comments from the industry and the public on the draft UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records.

All views and comments should be submitted in soft copy (Microsoft Word or PDF format) and shall reach IMDA by 12 noon, 10 April 2017.
