Internet Service Resellers

Internet Service Resellers are automatically class-licensed under the Broadcasting (Class Licence) Notification of the Broadcasting Act 1994.  They are required to: 

1. register with IMDA within 14 days of the provision of their service. 
2. provide a 14-day written notice to IMDA prior to the termination of their services.

Localised and non-localised Internet Service Resellers that provide access to computer online services such as: 

1. Internet cafes 
2. Educational Institutions
3. Public libraries

are required to register with IMDA and inform IMDA on the termination of their services.  Please refer to the Broadcasting (Class Licence) Notification.  

Exemption

For Localised Internet Service Resellers that provide Internet access to the public: 

1. for purposes only incidental to their primary business, or
2. for purpose of demonstration only on an occasional basis 

are not required to register with IMDA nor inform IMDA on the termination of their services.
