Agreement Extends Productive Relationship For Another Two Years
After two successful years of collaboration, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and ILOG S.A. (NASDAQ and Euro.NM: ILOG), a world-leading supplier of software components, signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to renew ILOG's commitment to the Infocomm Local Industry Upgrading Programme (iLIUP) for two more years.
To date, ILOG has identified and established partnerships with 12 local companies to develop readily deployable solutions for the marketplace. Under iLIUP, promising infocomm companies in Singapore work with ILOG to identify, develop and market new solutions by tapping established channels and existing technical expertise. Like other iLIUP technology partners, ILOG provides the technology, technical and marketing assistance to these Singapore companies to develop robust and flexible solutions.
"Through iLIUP, leading global technology partners are recognized for working in tandem with our local infocomm industry," said Khoong Hock Yun, Assistant Chief Executive (Infocomm Development) at IDA. "With ILOG's solutions, we are confident that Singapore companies can jumpstart their ideas and gain an edge over global competition to become sought-after independent software vendors and application service providers," added Mr Khoong.
"The extension of the IDA-ILOG iLIUP MOU gives strong recognition to ILOG's successful role as a technology angel in the infocomm sector in Singapore." said Foo Jong Tong, General Manager of ILOG Singapore. "We strongly believe that ILOG technology will contribute to the success of our present and future iLIUP partners in delivering the best value-added and world-class products and services".
The 12 iLIUP partners developing solutions embedding ILOG technology are AceFusion.com, Information Fusion Pte Ltd, Innovision Technologies Pte Ltd, Knowledge Engineering Pte Ltd, KnowledgeTouch.com, Logipolis.com, Meridien Systems, Omni-Biz, SC21 Pte Ltd, Software Studio Pte Ltd, Winsys Technology Pte Ltd and World of Internet Technology Pte Ltd.
"Our collaboration with ILOG has been very successful," said Lim Chee Kean, Chief Executive Officer of AceFusion.com. "We aim to be the leading e-fulfillment and supply chain management solution provider for Asia and beyond. Through the iLIUP, AceFusion can easily access ILOG's state-of-the-art leading component technology to cut time-to-market, which is crucial in the e-business world. The iLIUP is certainly a valuable platform to enable such companies as AceFusion.com to develop solutions with a strong differentiation factor".
To kick-off the renewal, ILOG held a Web Personalization & E-fulfillment Seminar today at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. The objective of the free seminar was to recruit new iLIUP partners in the E-business area, as well as educate the industry on the benefits of ILOG technology for dot.coms, startups and "brick-and-mortars" developing e-business B2B applications.
