The auction for Fixed Wireless Broadband (FWB) licences will be rescheduled until after the 3G auction in April/May 2001. This is in view of feedback from most potential bidders indicating preference for the auction to be postponed. A number of interested players have requested for more time to reassess the market situation, as well as to explore alternative technologies. The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) will announce the new timing such that interested parties will have sufficient lead-time to prepare thoroughly for the FWB auction.
