The National Trust Council (NTC) released a consultation paper on 7 February to gather feedback from the industry and public on the Model Data Protection Code for the Private Sector.
2 At the close of consultation at 12 noon today, 10 responses were received from organisations and individuals. The consultation paper and responses can be found on the TrustSg website (CaseTrust) under the "Public Consultation" section. The NTC thanks the respondents for their comments.

The NTC will consider the comments received and announce its decision on the implementation of the Model Code by 3rd Quarter 2002.

This consultation exercise is part of the NTC's ongoing efforts to involve the industry and public in its efforts to build confidence in online transactions so as to spur e-commerce growth.
