Singapore's First Co-Production TV Series with Germany Completed

Production companies, Oak3 Films (Singapore), ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen), FFP New Media GmbH (Germany), and the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) are proud to announce that filming has been completed for the period drama mini-series called House of Harmony.

House of Harmony is Singapore's first co-production project involving production companies from Germany and Singapore. It stars an international cast, including well-known artistes Fann Wong from Singapore, Maggie Q from Hong Kong, Cheng Pei Pei from China and Daniel Morgenroth, Philippe Brenninkmeyer and Andrea Jonasson from Germany.

The two-part series will be broadcast during prime time on ZDF Television in the third quarter of 2005, one of Germany's main terrestrial public broadcasters and with an audience reach of over 15 million viewers.

A garage sale for the fashion, wardrobe and props used on The House of Harmony set will be held at 136 Neil Road from 1 to 3 October 2004, between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

Post-production work will commence in October 2004 and is expected to complete by May 2005.

The mini-series, produced at a budget of Euro$3.5 million, is adapted from well-known American writer Barbara Wood's novel entitled Perfect Harmony.
