It is with regret that the IDA announces that Mr Chan Haw Wuen has terminated his scholarship with IDA without serving the required bond period. Mr Chan was awarded the then NCB scholarship to study Computer Science at Stanford University in 1998. He is due to graduate in 2002. Mr Chan will be required to return IDA his scholarship certificate and pay the liquidated damages.

This statement is made in accordance with existing Government practice.
