The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has today released a consultation paper. This paper seeks to gather feedback from the industry and public to reviseon the revised policy framework for the international settlement regime1 for the provision of international telecommunication services.
This feedback will assist IDA in its review of the existing policy framework to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in light of market and technology developments. Our policy objective in this review is to ensure fair and effective competition in the international telecommunication service market.
The issuance of this consultation paper is part of IDA's on-going efforts to provide a platform for the industry and public to share their views on changes to be introduced to Singapore's infocomm policies.
All views and comments should be submitted in writing, and to reach IDA on or before 12.00 noon, 28 February 2002. IDA will consider the inputs submitted and revise our policy framework thereafter. IDA targets to announce its revised policy framework by second quarter of 2002.
