Singapore to share experience in E-Government

In an effort to explore and share technology trends, policies and strategies in the area of e-Government, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) is hosting a Country Forum at NASSCOM 2003 on February 12 2003.

The IDA will lead a group of representatives from four Singaporean infocomm companies to speak at the Forum (see Annex A for the list of speakers). The representatives will share their experience in developing and deploying solutions for the Singapore Government. With the theme "Singapore E-Government - A Partnership between Government and Industry", IDA hopes to further the already close bilateral relationship through forging alliances and partnerships.

Mr Mohan Mirwani, IDA's Country Manager for India said, "Singapore is happy to share our experience in e-government and we hope that this session will pave the way for future win-win partnerships between Singaporean infocomm companies and their counterparts in India."

The participating Singaporean companies have experience in consulting, integrating systems, and developing and deploying:
a. security and payment solutions for government and financial sectors;
b. business-to-government (B2G) and government-to-government (G2G) services;
c. trade and judiciary applications and services.
