About Extended Reality
Extended Reality (XR) brings together Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) to create interactive digital experiences that connect the virtual and physical worlds. AR overlays digital content onto real environments, VR immerses users in fully virtual spaces, and MR combines the two, allowing digital and physical objects to interact in real time.
Powered by technologies like 3D modelling, motion tracking, sensors, and advanced displays such as headsets and smart devices, XR gives businesses the ability to visualise, simulate, and interact with processes, products, and environments in ways that were previously impossible. It turns digital ideas into practical, real-world insights while making complex operations easier to understand and manage.
XR offers a wide range of practical applications for enterprises, including:
- Enhancing Workforce Training – Simulate machinery operations, safety drills, and other hands-on scenarios to train employees more effectively.
- Streamlining Design Collaboration – Use interactive 3D prototypes to improve teamwork, reduce errors, and speed up product development.
- Transforming Customer Engagement – Let customers explore and experience products virtually before purchase, creating memorable and interactive experiences.
- Strengthening Operations and Maintenance – Overlay step-by-step instructions on equipment to simplify maintenance and reduce errors.
