Weiyu Films | Production Company

Weiyu Films Pte Ltd is a content creation and production company founded in 2010 by Lee Thean-jeen, an awardwinning veteran of the Singapore film and television industry with over two decades of experience writing and directing feature films, television series and documentaries. In the short time since Weiyu Films’ incorporation, the company has had a prolific output in the area of narrative film and television.

Some of Weiyu Films’ high-profile productions include three seasons of the highly-acclaimed criminal law drama series Code Of Law. Viewership and critical response have been good since the show’s launch in 2012, with nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Digital Fiction & Non- Fiction Programme/Series at the Asian Television Awards.

Another production, Zero Calling, won Best Actor In A Leading Role at the Asian Television Awards as well as a commendation for Best Original Screenplay and a nomination for Best Direction. Internationally, the series won a Gold Remi for Best Television Series at the WorldFest HoustonInternational Film and Television Festival. Weiyu Films’ latest feature film project, the horror Bring Back The Dead, was released in Singapore and Malaysia in 2015, and has since been awarded a Platinum Remi for Best Theatrical Feature at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. They are currently working on their upcoming film Blessed Reunion.
