From the boardroom to the operations centres, all stakeholders want a role in making a positive difference for our world - regulators have developed corporate disclosure requirements around environmental impact, customers want to buy from sustainable businesses, people want to work for these companies and invest in them.
In a survey with global CEO, conducted by the IBM Institute of Business Value, nearly 60% of the CEOs saw significant demand from investors for greater transparency on sustainability. In addition, 80% of the CEOs believe investments in sustainability will improve their business results within five years.
While 86% of the companies already have a sustainability strategy in place, only 23% have implemented the sustainability strategies across their organisation, due to the complex nature of implementing sustainable practices.
