Technical Sharing Session on Agentic AI

Michal Polanowski brings over a decade of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, having contributed to major projects at renowned local and international firms including Disney, Lazada, and GoTo.

Presently, he serves as the Head of the Generative AI Team, where he spearheads efforts to translate cutting-edge research and developments in Generative AI into viable commercial solutions that advance the interests of stakeholders. His team is dedicated to integrating Generative AI and AI Agents to develop more adaptable and innovative solutions.

Srikrishna Iyer (Krishna) is a Senior AI Engineer at ST Engineering, where he focuses on applied research, system design and development of generative AI (large language models and multi-agent AI) solutions to support ST’s various business units.

His past experience includes working as a data analyst for ASMPT pte. Ltd. on data driven semiconductor process optimisation as well as being research assistant in SingTel Cognitive and AI lab (SCALE@NTU) for enterprises at NTU.

Ruochen Zhao is an LLM researcher at DAMO Academy, Alibaba in Singapore, focusing on the development of trustworthy and reliable Large Language Models (LLMs) for real-world applications.

Her expertise encompasses LLM interpretability, agent design, and addressing hallucinations in language models. Ruochen has published her work in top-tier conferences such as ICLR, ACL, and EMNLP.

She recently earned her PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Nanyang Technological University, supported by the AI.SG scholarship. Prior to that, she attended New York University and Harvard University respectively for her bachelor’s and master's degrees.

Fajri is an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the NLP Department at MBZUAI. Prior to his current role, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at MBZUAI and a core team member of JAIS, the Arabic-centric LLM. In his postdoctoral work, he focused on LLM evaluation and enhancing the multilingual representation of language models. His work has been recognized with the best/outstanding paper awards at CSRR (ACL 2022), EACL 2023, and AACL 2023.

Koto holds a PhD in Engineering (Natural Language Processing) from The University of Melbourne under the Australia Awards program. His PhD work focused on enhancing text summarization by exploring discourse, keyphrases, and evaluation systems.

He has four years of industry experience working at Samsung, KMKLabs, and Amazon. Additionally, he has three US patents in machine learning applications.

Regionally, he is active in NLP communities in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, where he co-initiated the Indonesian NLP community and the SEA NLP community.
