Singapore Pavilion

Summary

The Singapore Pavilion marks 10 years of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI). The pavilion theme "Digital Intelligence • Innovation • Singapore: 10 Years of Singapore–Chongqing Innovation: Building New Digital Horizons" (数智•创新•新加坡:智新十载 渝见未来) reflects the digital collaboration between both cities.

Singapore enterprises will present their advanced digital solutions across three key commercial areas, demonstrating innovations that are transforming industries and creating new business opportunities:

  • Digital Trade: Visitors will discover how Singapore businesses are revolutionising cross-border commerce through market-ready technologies. Our industry showcase features data sharing platforms that enable trusted international transactions, and AI-powered systems that streamline customs processing. These solutions are already enhancing trade efficiency and reducing paper documentation across borders.
  • Innovation: Singapore companies' breakthrough technologies that are transforming manufacturing and commerce will be showcased here. Visitors can explore commercial medical imaging AI that is revolutionising healthcare delivery, Brain-Computer Interface applications, industrial robotics with precise positioning capabilities, and enterprise AR/VR technologies that are reshaping business operations.
  • Smart Cities: Participating companies will showcase commercial solutions that are driving smart city transformation. These include facilities management systems for industrial infrastructure and commercial AI solutions for real estate development and construction safety.

The Singapore Pavilion will host business matching sessions between enterprises from Singapore and western China. These sessions facilitate discussions on potential collaborations, including potential collaboration projects and technology partnerships.

China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity

Summary

The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI), launched in November 2015, is Singapore's third government-to-government project with China, following the Suzhou Industrial Park and Tianjin Eco-City. Based in Chongqing, China's largest municipality with 32 million residents, the CCI is a key demonstration project for China's Belt and Road Initiative, Western Region Development, and the Yangtze River Economic Belt Strategy.

The CCI enhances modern connectivity and services between Singapore and western China, while supporting Chongqing enterprises expansion into Southeast Asia. The initiative focuses on four priority areas: Financial Services, Aviation, Transport and Logistics, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

As the ICT pillar lead, IMDA drives innovation and business partnerships between Singapore and Chongqing, facilitating market access and sustainable digital trade. A key initiative is the Joint Innovation Development Fund (JIDF), established by IMDA, Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and CQBDB to support the joint development of innovative digital solutions.

The JIDF create business opportunities in both markets by fostering partnerships between companies in Chongqing and Singapore. To date, it has supported joint projects in such as Smart Cities, Innovation, Digital Trade and Manufacturing as well as advancing collaborations in Internet-of-Things, virtual reality, augmented reality and robotics, and other related applications.
