Media Development Authority brings Tamil School debate live on Vasantham Central

The Media Development Authority (MDA) has commissioned the secondary school Tamil debate final Sorkkalam 2003(War Of Words) to promote the use of the second language and to showcase the oratorical skills of our local students.

Yuhua Secondary School, the proposition team, will pit their skills against Bowen Secondary School, the opposition team. They will debate the motion 'Excessive Restrictions Hamper The Progress Of Singaporeans' to vie for the champion status. Popular presenter Uthuman Ghani will chair the debate.

MDA commissioned the debate final at a cost of $35,000. Organised by the People's Association Central Indian Activity Executive Committees and produced by Megastar Advertising Pte Ltd, Sorkkalam 2003 will be aired live on Vasantham Central on 16 August at 7pm.
