Environmental Services Industry Digital Plan

Aligned to the Environmental Services Industry Transformation Map (ITM), the Environmental Services Industry Digital Plan (IDP) is part of the SMEs Go Digital programme, which supports Singapore’s digitalisation efforts and aims to make going digital simple for SMEs. The Environmental Services IDP provides a step-by-step guide on the digital solutions SMEs can adopt to go digital at each stage of their growth. The first Environmental Services IDP was launched in 2018.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), in partnership with the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the industry, has jointly refreshed the Environmental Services IDP, to introduce new solutions that meet the current and anticipated future needs of companies in the Environmental Services industry. The IDP also includes a Digital Roadmap on Training to help SMEs in Singapore identify relevant training programmes to upskill their workers as their businesses transform digitally. The IDP will continue to be updated over time as the industry progresses and newer, more relevant technologies are introduced.

Local SMEs in the cleaning, waste management, and pest management sub-sectors within the Environmental Services industry.

The IDP provides a step-by-step guide on the digital solutions SMEs can adopt to go digital at each stage of their growth. For a start, you can use the IDP to find out if your business is digital-ready.

You can refer to the Digital Roadmap of the IDP, as a guide to assess your SMEs’ digital readiness and identify opportunities for going digital and training to raise employees’ digital skills.

The Environmental Services IDP outlines the digital solutions that SMEs can adopt to go digital at each stage of their growth to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and drive business growth.

Eligible SMEs can receive funding support from the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) or other relevant grants on the Business Grants Portal to implement digital solutions in the Environmental Services IDP.
