The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has developed Media Manpower Programmes to address the media manpower challenges and develop a future-ready workforce. The plan aims to deepen core skills of media professionals, enhance the media industry’s attractiveness, provide better support for media freelancers and partner with key industry players and industry associations.

Skills Framework for Media (SFw for Media)

The Skills Framework for Media, jointly developed by IMDA and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), supports media manpower strategies by identifying pivotal media careers, outlining possible digital career pathways, and articulating existing and emerging skills for media professionals.

Story Lab

Story Lab

The Story Lab initiative aims to bring together talent from different backgrounds to incubate story ideas and explore innovative ways to tell stories across various media platforms, from film to broadcast and even games.

WritersLab

WritersLab

WritersLab is an inaugural programme of the Story Lab by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). Organised by LASALLE College of the Arts (LASALLE), this intensive scriptwriting programme aims to push the boundaries of scriptwriting and storytelling for television and online platforms by nurturing and developing the skills of committed Singaporean film and television writers.
