2017 Call-for-Proposal (CFP) for Production Assistance (P-Assist) Scheme and New Talent Feature Grant (NTFG) – Film Submissions

The P-Assist Grant Scheme focuses on generating a pipeline of Singapore projects and nurturing Singaporean talent in credited roles; while the NTFG encourages first and second-time directors to launch their careers in feature filmmaking. Applications for film projects under these schemes are by CFP.

There will be two CFP for P-Assist (Film) applications and one CFP for NTFG in 2017.

Please see below for the respective timelines:

P-Assist

First P-Assist Call-for-Proposal (CFP)
CFP Window: 1 March to 29 March 2017 
Deadline for Verification of Eligibility: 22 March 2017, by no later than 5:00 PM (SGT).
Deadline for Submission of Proposal: 29 March 2017. Proposals must be submitted by no later than 5:00 PM (SGT). Please note that late applications will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be held.
Notification of Shortlisted Projects for Pitching: Week of 1 May 2017
Pitching Session: 15 May 2017*
Notification of Selected Projects for P-Assist Grant: Week of 5 Jun 2017

Second P-Assist Call-for-Proposal (CFP)
CFP Window: 2 August to 30 August 2017
Deadline for Verification of Eligibility: 23 August 2017, by no later than 5:00 PM (SGT).
Deadline for Submission of Proposal: 30 August 2017. Proposals must be submitted by no later than 5:00 PM (SGT). Please note that late applications will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be held.
Notification of Shortlisted Projects for Pitching: Week of 9 Oct 2017
Pitching Session: 25 Oct 2017*
Notification of Selected Projects for P-Assist Grant: Week of 6 Nov 2017

NTFG

NTFG Call-for-Proposal (CFP)
CFP Window: 17 May to 7 June 2017
Deadline for Verification of Eligibility: 31 May 2017, by no later than 5:00 PM (SGT).
Deadline for Submission of Proposal: 7 June 2017. Proposals must be submitted by no later than 5:00 PM (SGT). Please note that late applications will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be held.
Notification of Shortlisted Projects for Pitching: Week of 17 July 2017
Pitching Session: 26 July 2017*
Notification of Selected Projects for NTFG: Week of 7 August 2017

How to respond to a Call-for-Proposal (CFP)

Interested applicants of either a Production-Assistance (P-Assist) or New Talent Feature Grant (NTFG) must contact an officer from the Singapore Film Commission (SFC) before the stipulated “Deadline for Verification of Eligibility” to discuss their projects and eligibility of the application. Please send your email to SFC@imda.gov.sg, if you are unsure of who to contact.

The SFC officer will guide you through the submission process and ensure that all required supporting documents are in place. Please note that the SFC reserves the right to not accept any submission that is deemed incomplete by the stipulated “Deadline for Submission of Proposal”.
