There are new technologies emerging in the 60 GHz band and with increasing interest from the industry to bring 60 GHz commercial equipment into Singapore, IDA is considering to make available the 60 GHz band for use in Singapore.

IDA would like to seek the views and comments from the industry and members of the public on the following:

  1. The appropriateness of frequency allocations in the 60 GHz band; and
  2. The appropriateness of the technical conditions and regulatory approach for 60 GHz band.
