In view of the COVID-19 situation, in order to allow the industry more time to submit their views and comments, IMDA has extended the submission deadline for this consultation to 12 noon, 15 May 2020.

IMDA would like to seek views from the industry and public on IMDA’s proposed new Technical Specification for Residential Gateways (“RGs”) (“IMDA TS RG-SEC”), commonly known as Home Routers.  The IMDA TS RG-SEC sets out the minimum security requirements and stronger credential settings for RGs sold and used in Singapore, in order to strengthen the resilience of Singapore’s telecommunications networks.

All submissions must reach IMDA by 12 noon on 10 April 2020.  Softcopy of submissions in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF format should be provided.
