Nucleus Connect ICO Revisions

IMDA approved Nucleus Connect’s ICO on 1 November 2019 and will take effect from 1 Jan 2020.

Interim Change to the Prices of Nucleus Connect’s Interconnection Offer Services

Nucleus Connect submitted proposed changes to its ICO prices for IMDA’s approval on 27 July. The proposed changes are a result of NetLink Trust’s revised ICO prices approved by IMDA on 1 July 2017. To be consistent and aligned with the two-phase revisions to NetLink Trust’s ICO prices, Nucleus Connect has also proposed to effect the corresponding changes to Nucleus Connect’s ICO prices in two phases. Phase one will be effective upon the approval by IMDA, while phase two will be effective on 1 January 2018.

As IMDA has just recently commenced the triennial review of Nucleus Connect’s ICO prices which is scheduled for completion sometime in the middle of 2018, IMDA considers it reasonable for Nucleus Connect to reflect the corresponding changes to its ICO prices arising from NLT’s ICO price changes first and will effect any further changes in prices after the triennial review is completed. Having reviewed Nucleus Connect’s submission, IMDA hereby approves Nucleus Connect’s proposed price changes.

Review of the Prices for Nucleus Connect Interconnection Offer Services 2013

Pursuant to Section 14.3 of the Code of Practice for Next Generation National Broadband Network OpCo Interconnection Code (“OpCo Code”), IMDA shall review and may require Nucleus Connect to modify the price(s) of the Mandated Services three years from the date that the Interconnection Offer ("ICO") was first offered by Nucleus Connect.

Considering that Nucleus Connect has offered the ICO for more than three years and the terms and conditions of the ICO have undergone revisions to keep pace with market developments, IDA was of the view that it was appropriate for IDA to commence its review of the prices for the Mandated Services offered under Nucleus Connect’s ICO in the third year.

IMDA has since completed its review and determined that there will be no change in the prices of the Mandated Services offered under Nucleus Connect’s ICO.

IMDA approved Nucleus Connect's ICO on 7 March 2013 and will take effect from 12 March 2013.

IDA approved Nucleus Connect's ICO on 6 April 2010. Nucleus Connect submitted further amendments to the ICO which were approved by IDA on 19 April 2010.
