Digital for Life Festival 2025: Where everyone – Children, Youths, Adults and Seniors – can pick up digital skills and healthy digital habits

SINGAPORE – 17 OCT 2025

1. The Digital for Life (DfL) Festival 2025 has something exciting for everyone, wherever you are on your digital learning journey. Organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in collaboration with over 110 partners spanning the People, Private, and Public sectors, this year's festival brings together Singaporeans to pick up useful digital skills and build healthy digital habits that will make everyday life easier.

2. Visitors can discover how technologies such as Generative AI (Gen AI) can transform their daily lives, learn practical ways to protect themselves and loved ones online, and take part in the fun Bitty’s Digital Mission game with an exclusive blind box giveaway. Families will find plenty of activities where parents and children can learn side by side, building everyone’s digital confidence through engaging, hands-on experiences.

3. The DfL Festival takes place at two convenient locations across two weekends, featuring close to 80 interactive booths thoughtfully curated for children, youths, adults and seniors:

  • VivoCity Central Court on 25 and 26 October 2025; and
  • Heartbeat@Bedok on 1 and 2 November 2025.

Online Safety for Parents and Youths

4. Many parents are anxious about their children’s online activities. The recent Digital Parenting Study[1] conducted by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information found that nearly all parents are concerned about online harms, with exposure to inappropriate content being the top concern. At the Festival, parents can discover how to build positive digital habits through engaging activities and quizzes with partners like Nickelodeon, Google, Meta x EYEYAH!, TikTok, TOUCH Community Services and Focus on the Family. Families will learn four simple actions to support children in their online journey, while seniors can learn how to stay safe online. Young people can also explore responsible gaming and social media practices, and adults can gain practical skills for healthier digital living.

5. Ms Doreen Tan, Assistant Chief Executive, Strategic Planning and Digital Readiness at IMDA, said: "We know that being a parent today comes with new challenges that our own parents never had to face. How much online screen time is too much? How do we keep our kids safe online? These are real concerns that many families are grappling with. That is why this year's Digital for Life Festival is focused on providing parents with practical help to guide their children online. We want parents, youths and children to discover that technology can bring us closer when used thoughtfully. Whether you are a parent feeling overwhelmed by today’s digital world or simply curious about what Gen AI can do for your family, there is something here for everyone. Come join us today.”

6. For seniors, adults and youths, the Festival promises to be an interactive playground of emerging technology that brings digital learning to life. Come, have fun and learn about:

i. Digital Skills for Life: Learn digital skills that can enrich your daily lives and discover Gen AI applications that make our daily lives easier. Visit the showcases by our partners such as Open AI, UOB, Grab, Samsung, and Society for Wings to learn about how to make secure online payments, and explore practical uses of Gen AI like ChatGPT.

ii. Emerging Technologies: Get hands-on with interactive experiences with our partners such as Huawei, LLVision, and Titan Tech Academy, showcasing exciting emerging technologies such as AI/Augmented Reality (AR) glasses and drone programming. Children will love the interactive coding and robotics experiences, while adults can explore how some of these new technologies can enrich their lives.

iii. Government Innovation: Experience how the Government harnesses technology to improve citizens’ lives as part of Singapore’s Smart Nation vision. Visitors can try out “Time Traveller” from the ongoing SG60 Heart & Soul Experience, and be transported back to iconic places and moments from Singapore’s past through Gen AI, get a sneak preview of Gen AI enhancements in the HealthHub app, and discover many other innovative solutions that are transforming how we live, work and play.
