M’GO Films develops and produces narratives for film, TV and multimedia installations creating immersive stories that embrace cultural diversity as being vibrant and significant. Each project is an opportunity to address the fundamental question of how to present original stories in today’s context. Our cross-disciplinary approach brings about inventive storytelling methods that actively engage audiences. In 2009, M’GO attended the Cannes Film Festival with Here, a feature film in the official selection in the Director’s Fortnight section. In 2014, the company co-produced with Italy the feature documentary When The Rooster Crows - Southeast Asian Cinema, showcasing four award-winning, mid-career, filmmakers from the region: Eric Khoo, Garin Nugroho, Pen-Ek, Brillante Mendoza. Both feature films had successful run on the international film festival network, including Singapore International Film Festival, and have been picked up by the Sundance Channel. The company has participated and supported a number of projects by young Singaporean filmmakers including Boo Junfeng’s Keluar Baris and He Shuming’s Labour Day. M’GO’s expertise extends to TV productions. In 2018, M'GO Films will produce Leonard Yip's The Block.
