The Media Development Authority of Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Man Shu Sum to its senior management team as Program Director, Media Development.
The man widely credited with the success of Channel U as well as the careers of many a TV celebrity here will be helping Singapore media companies to reach international markets in his new role at the MDA.
"We're very pleased to welcome Shu Sum on board. His arrival is most timely as we're picking up the pace of our industry development and promotion efforts internationally and locally," said MDA CEO, Dr Christopher Chia.
"He has extensive, in-depth and hands-on international TV business experience and he can certainly help us to reach out to overseas markets for Made-by-Singapore programmes.”
“Additionally, his knowledge of the local scene will help us to bring Singapore media companies from various sectors of the industry together to work on projects of common interest and wider appeal. We expect the growing international interest in Singaporean content and co-productions to be further boosted by Shu Sum's contributions.”
Mr Man will join the MDA on June 1, 2005.
